Finding your Maine Coon should feel personal, transparent and exciting. Our process is designed to help families understand what to expect from the first introduction through the day their kitten comes home.

A THOUGHTFUL BEGINNING
Welcoming a kitten is a major decision, and we believe the process should give families time to learn, ask questions and prepare. We want you to understand our program before applying, and we want to understand your family before discussing placement.

DISCOVER DRY VALLEY
Spend time learning about our breeding philosophy, meeting our kings and queens, exploring our kittens and reading about the Maine Coon breed. We want families to understand how we raise our cats and what matters to us before beginning an application.

SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
When you believe a Dry Valley Maine Coon may be right for your family, the next step is to introduce yourself. Our application helps us understand your household, experience, lifestyle, preferences and the kind of companion you hope to welcome home.

APPLICATION REVIEW
We review applications with the long-term wellbeing of our kittens in mind. The goal is not to find the fastest placement. It is to determine whether our program and one of our kittens may be a good fit for your household. Submitting an application does not guarantee placement or reserve a kitten.

FINDING THE RIGHT MATCH
Color and appearance may begin the conversation, but personality and household fit matter too. As kittens develop, we learn more about their individual temperaments and discuss available options with approved families. Our goal is to help create a match that works for both the kitten and the family.

WATCH THEM GROW
The weeks before homecoming are part of the experience. As your kitten grows and prepares for the next chapter, we want families to feel connected and informed while allowing the kitten the time needed to develop before leaving our home.

PREPARE FOR HOMECOMING
Before your kitten comes home, preparation can make the transition easier for everyone. Families receive the records, registration information, health documentation and preparation information applicable to their kitten and outlined in their purchase agreement. We also provide guidance to help families prepare for the transition from our home to theirs.

WELCOME HOME
Homecoming is not the end of our relationship with a Dry Valley family. It is the beginning of your life together. We want our families to feel comfortable reaching out as their kitten settles in, grows and becomes part of the household.

Our Maine Coon kittens begin at $3,500.
Payment Plans: We do not offer payment plans.
PLACEMENT
COMPANION HOMES
Our kittens are primarily placed as companions. Any exceptions are considered individually by Dry Valley Coons. Placement is thoughtful and based on the kitten, family and circumstances.
